Choose the stops: your business, and other places around Gibraltar — a landmark, a park, a beach. Players reach each one and collect it in the app. The discount unlocks at the end, and they redeem it at your business.
How it works
Four quiet steps. Your team barely has to think about it.

You pick the places
Your business can be on the trail, and so can other locations you choose — a landmark, a park, a beach, or another of your doors. We put a collectible at each GPS spot and group them into one trail.

Players go there
They sign in with Google, walk to the spot, and tap Collect here in the app. They stay put for a moment while two GPS readings, at least four seconds apart, check they are within about 40 metres and the signal is clear enough. If the signal is weak or the place is indoors, the QR there is the backup. On a normal spot, scanning it collects the find with no GPS check, and it still counts on the trail. Progress is written in plain words, like “Your Business trail: 2 of 3 found”.

The discount unlocks
Find every place on the trail and the offer lands in their reward wallet. You choose the percent, and how many days it stays valid. Each Google account gets that reward once.

Your team checks it
They redeem at your business. The player opens the reward and taps Redeem at the till. Your team types a 6-digit PIN on the player’s phone. Only give the discount when you see the green screen with a moving clock.

On their phone
A reward they can actually use.
They collect each place in the app. These example screens are the reward afterwards, for a made-up business called Your Business, with 10% off. Your name and your offer go in the same places. The clock on the green screen is live.

Once each, and hard to copy

What does it cost?

Can the trail include places besides our business?
Yes. A trail can mix your business with other locations you choose — a landmark, a park, a beach, or more than one of your doors. Players see how far they have got, such as “2 of 3 found”. The discount unlocks when they have found them all, and they redeem it at your business.
How do they collect a stop?
They go to the place and tap Collect here in the app. Spotted.gi takes two GPS readings, at least four seconds apart, and checks they are within about 40 metres of that spot — or a distance set for that place — with a clear enough signal. Indoors, or when the signal is weak, they scan the QR on site instead. On a normal spot that backup collects the find with no GPS check, and it still counts toward the trail and the reward. A spot can be set to use only GPS, only the QR, or to make the QR ask for a GPS fix as well.
What do staff have to do?
Very little, and only at redemption. A printed card by the till says: the player opens the reward, taps Redeem at the till, and you type your PIN on their phone. Do not tell them the PIN. Only give the discount when the screen is green and the clock is moving.
What if someone shows a photo of the screen?
A screenshot, or a screen that is not green, is not a redemption. The green screen is tied to a live clock, and the reward can be used once per Google account.
How long does the discount last?
You decide how many days it is valid, from the moment they finish the trail.
Who plays Spotted.gi?
People sign in with Google, find items at real places around Gibraltar, build a collection, and appear on a leaderboard. The hunt is for kids, teens, families, locals and tourists.
